I’m Nini, 22 years old from Norway and new on the Stohlquist Team! I live at the West coast near Voss, and this year we have a record snowpack up in the mountains, so it’s definitely time to plan your Norway 2011 road trip to Voss! I can’t promise you sunshine and warm weather, but high levels at the West Coast and a lot of fun like Ekstremsportveko (Extreme Sport Week in Voss) and Sjoa River Festival!
I always try to encourage more female kayakers to come to Norway, but it seems like a lot of girls have made up their mind and think our rivers are way too hard. The White Water Guide gives the same impression, but we have plenty of rivers for everyone. A lot of the harder runs get easier when the water drops in July and August, and I promise, it can still be a lot of fun!
